You won't find fallout 4.exe in there, it should just be a bunch of folders. copy and paste the fallout 4 steam directory into the file explorer. In that window, it should bring up a mini file explorer. it'll then tell you it can't automatically find the software, and you'll have to do it yourself. it should show fallout 3, fallout 4 vr and normal fallout 4 all greyed out. Go to the Games tab, and type in fallout 4. i'll use the Vortex interface as an example. If it is, you're going to have to manually tell the mod manager where fallout 4 is. open your mod manager and see if that's true. The probability is, your mod manager (Vortex, MO, etc) can't find fallout 4.exe anymore. I had the exact same problem as you, and here's the solution i found:
